Gladstone Martial Arts Academy Inc. Community Support program includes:

Helping young people
GMAA is a Get Started registered club.  Get Started Vouchers assists children and young people who can least afford to join a sport or active recreation club. Eligible children and young people can apply for a voucher valued up to $150.

Students training at Gladstone Martial Arts Acadey who want to join can apply for Get Started vouchers if they are eligible.

Supporting local heroes
At GMAA we want to celebrate and thank those that make our community safe and help us in times of crisis and need, especially our local police, paramedics and service men and women.

Free introductory two week trial and 20% discount membership for front line support roles in our community such as police, ambulance, paramedics, service men and women (armed forces, airforce, navy), registered nurses, doctors, emergency services personnel.

Fighters Against Child Abuse Australia – Pheonix Program
Support to child and adult abuse survivors who are confidentially referred through the F.A.C.A.A. Pheonix program with fully sponsored martial arts training as a way to help empower them, to bring out their inner self-confidence and their inner strength.

Fundraising for charity and being a positive community club
GMAA is part of Bob Jones Martial Arts East Coast group who raise funds for special causes such as the Daniel Morecombe foundation and Livin which tackles the stigma of mental illness in young people.

GMAA periodically enters teams to support local fundraising and community events such as the Cancer Council Relay for Life and Botanic to Bridge.

GMAA is a registered Good Sports club (More info: http://goodsports.com.au/) promoting health and well being within our club community and functions.
